Manu Ferreira is a graduate student in the Journalism program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She has a bachelor’s degree in Social Communication with a major in Radio, TV, and Internet. During college, she had several internships, which allowed her to work as a press agent, social media content creator, and producer at a local TV station in Brazil.

 

After graduating, she worked as a PR agent for two marketing companies and as a writer for a Brazilian website. She has also volunteered as a Marketing Committee Member for non-profit TIHAN and as Media Coordinator for non-profit S.Y.STEM Coalition. As a student at UofI, she has worked as a reporter, writer, and producer for UI7 Live. This semester, her challenge is to be the UI7 Newsroom Executive Producer for the shows UI7 Live and Good Morning Illini.
