Emily Richie is a sophomore studying Journalism and minoring in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism, at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She is currently working with Fighting Illini Productions for her second year and fills many roles from field producing to being a camera operator to working the video board at the football and men’s basketball games. She has worked with WPGU writing for them and also took pictures for Illinois Public Media. Emily is also a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and Phi Eta Sigma and likes to play recreation and intramural volleyball with her friends at the Activites and Recreation Center. 
 

In her free time Emily loves to take pictures of anything and everything, listen to music, drink coffee on a regular basis, go to the gym and spend time with her friends and family. She is really excited to be apart of UI in 7 and Illini Sports Night and can’t wait to see where this semester takes her!
