Ben Fader is a sophomore studying journalism, with a focus on sports journalism, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Ben is currently a staff writer for the Daily Illini covering the football beat, guest host for Illini Drive on WPGU and member of the Society of Professional Journalists.

 

Ben loves travelling and following his favorite sports teams including Illini athletics, the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens, and Cleveland Cavaliers. Through his work in the school of media thus far, he has earned the Marylin Miller Kaytor Scholarship for 2022-2023 academic year. He is very curious about all aspects of sports journalism right now and is looking forward to continuing his pursuit of experience in this field and the semester ahead with Illini Sports Night.
